Lebohang Ramudzuli Nemutudi

I am Lebohang Ramudzuli Nemutudi, 30 year old; I am a young adult man. I work at the City of Johannesburg Health Department Region D, Gauteng, as a health promoter, and what I do is to develop new programs and improve present ones e.g. Outreach Setting, school setting, community setting and facility setting.

I'm more passionate about grassroots community setting and I believe that activism can shape and influence policy change in the upperstream. And I believe in doing more health awareness campaigns/events in the townships and using language that they can relate to and understand, and that makes each and every message you are facilitating more easily understood. Because English is a foreign language in Africa, it is high time we put our indigenous languages first.

Every year we run two “School Holiday Programs” in the region so that we can capacitate young and upcoming leaders, both girls and boys, selected from both primary and secondary school, and 250 learners from five schools attend the program.

I want to work in the UN or WHO so that I can champion youth health and leadership on the African continent.

I'm an IT Technician (field of: Hardware & Networking) and I was awarded the Mail and Guardian Top 200 Young South Africans 2017. I will be pursuing a health promotion degree and an MBA course in the future. I shall and always be a servant of the people.
